An important message regarding COVID-19
As you may be aware, our dental regulatory authorities, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (“RCDSO”) has strongly recommended that all “non-essential and elective dental services” be suspended immediately and rescheduled for a time when the risk of COVID-19 has been controlled. As a result of that recommendation, we are closing our office immediately. The RCDSO will only allow us to treat a “true emergency” (see below). We will be monitoring RCDSO’s recommendations, and those of Ottawa Public Health, closely. We will advise you of any changes to our office situation as soon as we are able to. We are now following the recommendations of the RCDSO and the call from public health authorities for effective social distancing. We do not expect to re-open until at least April 2020.

3. For any other treatment that may NOT be a “true emergency”, we will be calling you to reschedule your appointment once the regulatory authorities advise us to continue business as usual.
4. An initial COVID-19 Self Assessment Tool (https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus-covid-19-self-assessment) has been posted to the Ontario Government site. Individuals who suspect they have COVID-19 can consult this tool to determine whether and how to seek further care.
If it becomes necessary to perform urgent and necessary procedures for any of our patients, all reasonable precautions will be taken.
